BioAbigail "Abi" Winchester is the daughter of John Winchester and Ellen Harvelle (and the half sister of Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, and Jo Harvelle). She was born 10 months after Sam left for Stanford and after a solo job took John by way of the Roadhouse. But Ellen never told John he had a daughter. She never told anyone. No one was ever supposed to know who Abigail's father was.
But fate had other plans and when Abi was five years old (Mid Season 2), she went to her mother and told her that she (Ellen) was going to die. As much as Ellen wanted to tell her that it was just a bad dream...she had seen too much and knew too much not to treat it as anything other than a vision. And so she called the Winchester boys and asked for help.
They were too late. By the time they made it to the house, Ellen and Jo were already dead -- their bodies shredded -- and Abi was tucked safely away in a hidden cupboard with a letter that explained everything. She was their sister and they were the only family she had left.
So the boys did the only thing they could do...they took her with them. And so began her life on the road and her training as a hunter.

path_nottaken: Ten years have passed since Season 3, making Abigail fifteen. When Sam and Dean retired after freeing Dean from his deal, they started giving Abi the life they never had -- schools, friends, soccer practice...problem was, Abi didn't want it. The older she got, the more uncomfortable she felt. She's a Winchester. A hunter. And so, lately, instead of going to soccer practice she's been sneaking off to investigate local legends. Not telling her brothers, of course. She also hasn't been telling her brothers that lately she's been having nightmares about her going evil. But that's no big deal, right?
sixwordstories: Abi is anywhere from 5 to 15 depending on the post. All posts taking place within a season are marked by the season (i.e. Season 4) and all posts taking place before or after the show are marked by the number of years (i.e. Ten Years Later).
